You suspect that Shani has either meningitis or encephalitis, based on her history and examination.

She is still a little drowsy, but much more responsive than earlier, opening her eyes, localising to pain and crying appropriately. Ther are no focal neurological signs and her other systems are normal, apart from her fever.
